Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Marlene Dooley

Let me first start by sharing some information about myself professionally and personally. This is my 18th full year of teaching and my fourth year at RAMS. I am very excited about what the school year holds! I graduated from Liberty University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2004 and began my career with Roanoke City Public Schools. I have three children: Chase and daughter-in-law Kelsey and grandson Beckett, Colleen and son-in-law Krae and grandson Beau, and Colin who is in the United Stated Air Force Honor Guard stationed in Washington DC; and a dog named Lacey. I have been married to my husband Chuck for 35 years. When I am not at school, I am involved in my church teaching Third and Fourth grade Sunday School and singing on the Praise Team. I love reading and working puzzles with a lot of pieces! I am a UVA fan and enjoy all kinds of sports. Most of all, I love spending time with my children and parents!
First grade is an exciting time as children embark upon new adventures in the world of learning. I am looking forward to a very exciting and productive year working with your child. I will strive each day to make learning a fun and enriching process for your child. However, I need your help in making this year as successful as it can be! I believe that you and I are a team working together to help your child develop emotionally and academically. You are the most important person in your child’s life and you are also a teacher in your child’s life. I know if we work together and communicate, your child will have a very successful year! Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have during the year. I can be reached at (540) 853-2751 or [email protected].
