COVID-19 Update:


I am teaching on the Virtual Academy for Roanoke City Public Schools with your kids during the 2020-2021 school year. We are using Canvas to log in and do class work. Here you have to complete the work attached for each day of the week for all subject areas ( Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies ). You log in to canvas using your students email address (which is your child's username to get into clever with @students.rcps.info added to the end of it ),  and the password is your child's student number. These logins went home in bags from the school if you picked them up. In the bag there is also your child Raz Kids login for their new Raz kids account. Raz kids is where your child can access books on their level to read this year.

Please have your student(s) continue to practice ST Math on a daily basis. ST math may be accessed by logging into the Clever Portal on rcps.info. Furthermore, please try to have your student(s) independently read for at least 20 minutes per day. This will tremendously help students improve their literacy skills! 


Monday-Thursday each week has live instruction on Teams for Math at 8 AM, Reading at 9:30 AM, reading groups following whole group reading. Fridays each week are independent work days in Canvas. Please make sure your child is on live meetings and does canvas work when they are supposed to.
